Today, we announced the acquisition of the assets and IP of Knarr Analytics, an innovative start-up that provides real-time collaboration, sophisticated data exploration and insight capture capabilities, to complement Qlik’s cloud data and analytics platform.
I’m excited to share today that we announced the acquisition of RoxAI and its Ping intelligent alerting software at our 2020 sales kickoff. This is becoming an exciting annual tradition – last year we similarly announced from the SKO stage our intent to acquire Crunch Data, which has been rebranded as Insight Bot. Like that announcement, RoxAI and Ping will help increase the value of data through insights delivered to users where they work.

I was first introduced to Insomnia and Greg in the early days of the project, and I am proud to have been one of the earliest supporters. Today, Talend announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Stitch, a self-service cloud data integration company that provides an exceptionally quick, easy, and intuitive experience in modern cloud environments. With Stitch, Talend will be able to provide both SMB and enterprise customers with a highly efficient way to move data from cloud sources to cloud data warehouses and buy in a frictionless manner.

July was a huge month for merger and acquisition (M&A) activity in the BI space. Thoughtspot raised $145 million, Salesforce acquired Datorama, Workday acquired Stories.bi and Tableau acquired Empirical Systems.
